Measure how the Agulhas Current varies over time
Objective: Deploy measurement instruments in the Agulhas Current — Journals
Objective: Complete a ‘check up’ on the gear, change batteries, download data, and make necessary repairs — Journals
Objective: Collect the gear, and complete the final data download — Journals
Analysis: Combine data from multiple types of measurements to create a more complete picture of the Agulhas Current, and how it changes over time.
Correlate in situ measurements (collected in the ocean by the ACT team) with satellite altimeter data dating back to the early 1990’s to create a longer-term profile of the Agulhas Current.
